Abstract – Early childhood is a critical period for socialization, during which children develop foundational skills that shape their social behavior and personality. This article investigates the important role of family interactions in fostering preschoolers' social and personality development. Early childhood is a formative period where children’s social behaviors, emotional regulation, and personality traits are heavily influenced by the environment, particularly the family unit. By examining the dynamics of parent- child interactions, sibling relationships, and overall family communication patterns, this study investigates how these factors contribute to the development of social competencies with the theoretical framework. The role of family practices in shaping traits like self-esteem, autonomy, and temperament is explored. The findings highlight the significant impact of responsive parenting, family cohesion, and positive role models on children’s social and personality growth, suggesting that family-based interventions may be essential for fostering healthy development during the critical preschool years.
